Reviews

???? Wimpies Country Restaurant is a small hidden gem for classic Southern comfort food. My friend and I stopped in for lunch, and we couldn’t have been happier with our meal. I had the smothered grilled chicken, which was perfectly cooked and covered in a rich, flavorful gravy. The cornbread muffins were outstanding—moist, slightly sweet, and just the right texture. My friend ordered the hamburger steak, which came with all the fixings and was cooked to perfection. Every bite was packed with homestyle flavor. Our server, Jamie S, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without hovering. The atmosphere was warm, rustic, and full of country charm, making it the perfect place to enjoy a hearty meal and good conversation. If you’re looking for real down-home cooking with top-notch service in a cozy, rustic setting, Wimpies is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back! GO VOLS!!!

This place was packed.... For good reason! Huge pancakes! Plus: Coke Zero Minus: No real butter. Reasonable prices for really good food. We sat at a community table and got to talk with locals.

Very good home cooking. Stopped on the way from Chattanooga to oak ridge and was not disappointed. Pretty good prices and we left full. Ribeye was very good.

Great little place with large variety of good country food. Chicken livers rank among the best I've ever had. The hamburger was a 10/10. So good. Staff was super friendly and cheerful. I will for sure come back anytime I am in Soddy Daisy.

The BEST cheeseburger I have had! I also had a side of home fries with brown gravy. This place is worth the trip off the main highway!! Be prepared to be FULL!!

Great little place! Came in and on a quiet night, the parking lot was packed, everyone was enjoying their food but despite the crowd, service was prompt and the food came out quickly! The shrimp and grits and fried chicken were phenomenal. The brisket sandwich and the beef liver were good too. Cannot recommend higher!
